Coming out can be difficult for anyone, but when your culture lacks an awareness or understanding of LGBTQ issues, it can be especially challenging. As part of its Pride and Prejudice series, The Early Edition talks with Shona, a young gay woman with a South Asian background, and Andrew, a young Chinese-Canadian transgender man, about their experiences coming out in their families and respective ethnic communities.
