This five-part series reveals the surprisingly vital cultural underbellies of global cities that have recently suffered war, disaster or unrest. Featuring the turbulent cities of Beirut, Kiev, Athens, Port-au-Prince and Medellin in Columbia; each compelling episode follows three or four young passionate artists and one Canadian ex-pat. These artists break the status quo of their environments to produce art as a form of protest, as a means of survival, as an agent of change and as a display of courage.
