There is little doubt that the war in Yugoslavia and Kosovo is a conflict not restricted to that region alone. This episode examines the complexity of the international response, both military and humanitarian, and the global balance of power that has shifted significantly as a result of the conflict. But it is perhaps the international response to the refugee situation and the questions of ethnic cleansing – the causes and effects of the conflict – that are at the heart of this part of the story.
