The 1995 Quebec referendum ended with the federalist side winning an extremely tight victory. One of the most fascinating and enduring questions of Canadian history is what would have happened if the tight vote had gone the other way? In preparation for the 20th anniversary of the referendum next year, two of Quebec's leading journalists, Chantal Hébert and Jean Lapierre, set out to ask that question to the key participants. The result is their new book The Morning After.
