News in Review Canada's Bloody War in Afghanistan

Canadian troops in Afghanistan have been fighting some bloody battles with Taliban insurgents and paying an increasingly heavy price. In September 2006, 10 soldiers were killed and many others were injured. It was the Canadian military's biggest monthly death toll in decades. In this News in Review story we'll look at why the fighting is so fierce. We'll also examine how the latest casualties have reopened the debate over Canada's role in Afghanistan.
