We stake out two coffee giants and find out how green those promises really are. Canadians drink about 1.5 billion cups of coffee a year: That’s over half a million trees’ worth, enough to fill more than four thousand garbage trucks. We put special tracking devices in coffee cups, dump them in recycling bins, and uncover which cups actually get recycled.
