The Nature of Things Destination Mars

The Nature of Things Destination Mars

The rush has begun to put humans on the red planet as soon as possible. Not only is there great interest from industrial titans like Elon Musk of SpaceX and Jeff Bezos of Amazon fame, but there are also specialists lecturing on mining Mars, corporate property rights and space law. There are discussions about “terraforming” Mars — making it a second earth — our Noah’s Ark as a species. To billionaires, international space agencies and scientists, it is our destiny to become a “space-faring species.”
