There are concerns that minority groups are depicted very differently in commercials than white Canadians, perhaps even playing into outdated stereotypes. Amanda Lang looks at a new study that suggests race representation is problematic in ad campaigns. The University of Toronto's Shyon Baumann, lead author of that study, discusses advertising in Canada and its patterns of racism and bias.
