In a game of Duels de cartons, four British students are tested on their knowledge of French adverbs. Taking turns, each student is presented with three boxes, each one with an adverb on it. They are then presented with a series of sentences on cue cards, all with their adverbs missing. The students then have to select the box with the correct adverb on it, before reaching in and claiming their prize, or... something else. Teacher notes: You could set up a challenge similar to that in the film. Split students into teams and give each team three boxes. Ask each team to come up with a series of sentences with the adverbs missing. They can then take turns challenging another team to pick the correct adverb for their sentences.
