Nestled in a cosy Parisian café, four British students take part in a game of Finissez de boire, all with the aim of improving their knowledge of French conjunctions. For this grammatical challenge, each student is presented with three cups, each one with a conjunction on it. They will then be posed a sentence with the conjunction missing. To complete the task, each of the students must drink from the cup they believe has the correct conjunction on it. The correct cups are filled with something lovely like tea or lemonade, while the other ones are filled with … something else. Teacher notes: You could set up a challenge similar to that in the video. Get each of your students to come up with a sentence and list of possible conjunctions. They can then take turns to try the challenge themselves.
