In late August 2011, after months of fighting, rebel forces seized the Libyan capital of Tripoli and ended the 42-year dictatorship of Moammar Gadhafi. The rebels were assisted by air strikes from NATO planes, including some from Canada. In this News in Review story we’ll look at the Libyan Revolution and examine Canada’s role in the conflict.
