Canadian Olympic snowboarder Mark McMorris is in the red chair. His specialty, slopestyle, will make its Olympic debut at the 2014 Games in Sochi. In January 2013, Mark scored a 98 in the Men's Slopestyle Final at the X Games in Aspen, the highest score ever recorded in the event's history. Mark, obviously, took home the gold. And it's that kind of performance that has sports fans and media hailing Mark as the next Shaun White, who's been arguably the most successful competitive snowboarder of all time. He discusses the pressures facing elite athletes, his coping strategies and the importance of scaring yourself to progress.
