The Nature of Things National Parks: Forever Wild?

The Nature of Things National Parks: Forever Wild?

This documentary explores the crises faced by Canada's national parks as they attempt to steer a path between competing interests of tourism, ecology and business. Founded over a century ago, Banff National Park hosts four million visitors each year. Yet as human presence increases the wilderness recedes. We also examine Point Pelee in Ontario and Pacific Rim in British Columbia, where officials have attempted to return the parks to a more natural state through land reclamation and visitor management.
