The Nature of Things Secret Fears: Overcoming Phobias

The Nature of Things Secret Fears: Overcoming Phobias

The world is a beautiful and frightening place. Yet for some, fears are not of war or famine, but of the battle inside their own minds; the struggle between rational and irrational thought, and the terror that strikes when the irrational voices win. The Nature of Things hears firsthand from patients who are fighting to rule their fears, rather than be ruled by them. The program also explores the idea that phobias and anxiety disorders are possibly inherited. Secret Fears reveals how victims of extreme phobias and anxieties live in a state of heightened sensitivity and speaks to the enormous strength required by these sufferers to face their fears.
