News in Review Taking Over: Canada's New Government

In early February 2006, Stephen Harper's Conservatives were sworn in as the new government of Canada. It's only a minority government, but that didn't stop the Conservatives from getting off to an action-packed start. In this News in Review story we'll examine the Harper government's first few months in power. We'll look at what it managed to accomplish and why some of its policies and actions have been controversial.
