CBC Books The Forest of Reading 2021: White Pine Award

The Forest of Reading's White Pine Award offers teens of all ages the opportunity to read the best of Canada's recent young adult fiction titles. This program promotes reading for enjoyment and familiarizes teenagers with great Canadian books.

The 2021 nominees include:

– Charming As A Verb by Ben Philippe
– Fan the Fame by Anna Priemaza
– Frying Plantain by Zalika Reid-Benta
– He Must Like You by Danielle Younge-Ullman
– Hunted by the Sky by Tanaz Bhathena
– Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up With Me by Mariko Tamaki, illustrated by Rosemary Valero-O’Connell
– Like a Love Story by Abdi Nazemian
– The Starlight Claim by Tim Wynne-Jones
– You Don’t Have To Die in the End by Anita Daher
