News in Review U.S. Election: Choosing a President

In early November, the people of the United States went to the polls to choose a president. They had to decide whether to give Republican George W. Bush four more years in the White House or to replace him with Democratic Party challenger Senator John Kerry. News in Review looks at some of the key events in the race for the White House and examine some of the big issues that dominated the bitter, divisive and sometimes dirty campaign.
