This film tells the story of Vika, a 17-year-old orphan in Eastern Ukraine, in her final year under state care before she ages out and is forced to leave behind the only support she's ever known. It’s also the story of the bond she fights to maintain with her 10-year-old sister, Arina. Arina was adopted by a family in Toronto four years ago, during the Ukrainian revolution. Vika wants nothing more than to be reunited with her sister. But first, she’ll have to manage the rocky transition to adulthood.
