Venture Wormboy

Venture Wormboy

Attending Princeton is a dream for many aspiring business people, but not Wormboy. Tom Szaky is a 22-year old who gave up an Ivy League education to start his own company, Terracycle. The young entrepreneur turns garbage into gold, with a little help from California red worms. Millions of wiggling worms are fed a mixture of manure, coffee grounds and organic waste from which rich, organic fertilizer is created. Szaky reuses plastic bottles and cardboard boxes in packaging and shipping, making his company one of the most environmentally friendly around. This edgy, fun and fast-paced video uses a comic-book style to show the adventures of the hero, Wormboy, and the challenges young entrepreneurs face when starting up their own business. This is an excellent resource to supplement any Business, Entrepreneurial Studies or Environmental Studies class.
